Community Cook Off 2023

Huge thank you to the teams, judges and all those that came along to support and enjoy the day.
Congratulations to AGE UK K&C - 2023 Champions

Our annual competition brings out the healthy competitive nature in all the teams. Each team is asked to replicate a dish, with only a picture and ingredients as a recipe, judges also ask for 2 side dishes from each team, the teams choose items from a fresh larder of produce.

12 teams from North Kensington cook for the coveted title of ‘Champion’

We have 5 top judges. Clare Smyth MBE, Sally Clarke MBE, Matt Abe Chef Patron, Ren Patel - Ren’s Pantry - Queen Of Spice, Bruno Pires - Egg Slut

We work with the community of North Kensington throughout the year to deliver programmes and initiatives.

2022 saw the start of Lunch Club, a sociable event once a month to combat isolation for our older residents. The Garden project, teaching young people how to grow their own produce and use what they have grown in simple dishes.

Through local businesses and contacts we have also been able to create opportunities for local people.

Who We Are

The Community Cook-Off, established in 2018, is an extraordinary initiative that endeavours to bring together community services and residents from all walks of life, irrespective of age, ethnicity, or background. It serves as a unifying platform through its annual competition of programs, fostering a sense of togetherness and celebrating the diverse culinary talents within the community.

Located in the vibrant neighbourhood of North Kensington, the Cook-Off has become a cornerstone event that showcases the power of food and communal spirit. Each year, participants eagerly participate in this remarkable event, showcasing their culinary prowess and creativity while contributing to a worthy cause.

The Cook-Off holds the conviction that food has the remarkable ability to bridge gaps, nurture connections, and create lasting bonds.
